The 1414N4PHS16O6 is a 16 x 14 x 6 in (406 x 356 x 152 mm) Type 4X junction box in 316 stainless steel, the largest face size in the 1414 N4 PH SS Series. Its 14.75 x 12.88 in inner panel gives the most mounting area in the range, for terminal wiring, instrument or electric control housings in environments that are hosed down, very wet or corrosive.
The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are left natural stainless with a smooth brushed finish. The continuous stainless steel hinged cover is held closed by stainless steel clamps and screws and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A removable 14 gauge inner panel, finished in white powder coating, mounts on tapped studs, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.
Per the drawing, the door opening is 15.30 x 13.30 in, usable depth is 5.35 in, the clear space available on the door is 15.15 x 13.15 in, and the overall height including brackets is 17.50 in. The inner panel measures 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm). Shipping weight is 26 lbs (11.79 kg), boxed.
The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. For the 304 stainless steel version of this size, specify 1414N4PHSSO6.
