Hammond 1414N4ALM6 14x12x6 In Type 4X Aluminum Junction Box with Panel

The 1414N4ALM6 is a 14 x 12 x 6 in (356 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X aluminum junction box with an aluminum-clamped lift-off cover and removable inner panel. The 6 in depth version of the 14 x 12 size, it suits control housings and terminal wiring enclosures where equipment may be hosed down or exposed to corrosive conditions.

Construction follows the 1414 N4 AL series: the body is formed from 0.08 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The lift-off cover is secured with easily operated aluminum clamps and seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting, a bonding stud is fitted on the door and a grounding stud inside the enclosure. Cover and enclosure are natural unfinished aluminum. The removable 14 gauge inner panel is finished in white powder coating and mounts on tapped studs.

The 1414N4ALM6 is 14 in x 12 in x 6 in (356 mm x 305 mm x 152 mm) (H x W x D). Its removable inner panel measures 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm); the same panel size is used by the deeper 8 in version, 1414N4ALM8. For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 15.50 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 6.21 in, a 13.30 x 11.30 in cover opening and 5.20 in of usable depth. Mounting holes are 0.31 in diameter, and the shipping weight is 10 lbs (4.54 kg).

The series is listed to UL 508A Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and CSA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. This part carries UL File # E65324 and CSA Cert. # LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and is covered by the manufacturer's EU Declaration of Conformity to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
