Hammond VCT73 42U Vertical Cable Tray, 16-Gauge Steel

The VCT73 is a 42U vertical cable tray for routing and supporting cable bundles inside server cabinets. It gives IT, data centre and network integrators an open vertical pathway for patch cords and trunk cables without the bulk of an enclosed cable manager, and it mounts alongside the rack rails rather than consuming rack unit space in the equipment area.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with folded (flanged) edges that increase structural strength and give cables a smoother surface to run against. The tray is finished in a black powder coat (textured black on this part), a finish the manufacturer lists as GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. VCT73 is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, which supports government and public-sector procurement requirements.

Overall dimensions are 73.00 in (1854 mm) high by 3.00 in (76 mm) wide by 0.50 in (13 mm) deep, with a mounting height of 73.00 in (1854 mm) covering 42U; the part drawing shows an overall length of 73.50 in (1867 mm). Shipping weight is 5.75 lbs (2.61 kg). The tray face carries cutouts sized for cable ties or hook and loop straps, including 2.00 x 2.00 in (51 x 51 mm) square cutouts, 0.38 x 0.38 in (10 x 10 mm) cutouts and 0.28 in x 2.00 in (7 x 51 mm) obround slots for tie-downs and strain relief.

Mounting hardware is included. VCT73 is listed as compatible with Hammond C2, C4, CLC, H1, REFK and HDME20 platforms as well as compatible third-party enclosures. This model does not include the toolless PDU mounting cutouts found on the wider VCTPDU versions of the series.
