Hammond ST303008SS 30x30x8 in Square Sloped Top Stainless Enclosure

The ST303008SS is a square 30 x 30 in Eclipse ST sloped top enclosure, 8 in deep. It gives electricians and panel builders a wide, shallow Type 4X stainless steel housing to enclose electrical or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial wallmount applications, with a sloped top that prevents water from resting on it.

Construction is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a smooth brushed natural stainless finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Quarter turn latches requiring a tool secure the door on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins; doors are removable and interchangeable.

H1 is 30.00 in and H2 is 32.89 in (835 mm). The drawing shows a 28.49 in wide by 28.47 in high door opening, a 29.97 in wide door and a 70° slope. Because this enclosure is 30 in wide, the series standards note that sizes over 24 in (600 mm) wide require an inner panel to maintain UL/CSA; the matching EP3030 inner panel measures 28.20 x 28.20 in and mounts on collar studs.

Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 28.50 x 28.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Bonding and grounding studs are provided.

The ST303008SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 80 lbs (36.29 kg).
