The ST242008SS is a 24 in high, 20 in wide, 8 in deep Eclipse ST sloped top enclosure. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, industrial wallmount applications, giving control panel builders and electricians a taller, shallow Type 4X stainless box with a sloped top that prevents water from resting on it.
The enclosure is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, in a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket. The door is held by quarter turn latches that require a tool, swings on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins, and can be removed for modifications.
In the ordering table H1 is 24.00 in and H2 is 26.89 in (683 mm). The drawing shows an 18.48 in wide by 22.47 in high door opening and a 19.97 in wide door. The optional EP2420 inner panel measures 22.20 x 18.20 in and mounts on the collar studs provided.
For installation, the drawing shows 0.50 in wall mounting holes on 18.50 x 22.50 in centres; a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure are provided.
The ST242008SS carries UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 ratings, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 42 lbs (19.05 kg).
