The SPB2 is the Style 2 swing panel bracket kit in the SPB Series. It is used with a standard Hammond panel (sold separately) to mount that panel in the front part of an enclosure on a hinge, which permits access to the space behind the panel. Panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers use it to add a hinged mounting plane in larger wallmount enclosures.
The SPB2 is listed for use with:
- 1418 Wallmount Series and HW Series
- C3R-HCLO Series where AxB is 16x16 or larger
- C3R-HCR Series where AxB is 16x12 or larger
Sealing washers preserve the approval rating of the enclosure when the kit is installed. A panel is not part of the kit and must be ordered separately; the manufacturer's drawing shows a panel for reference only. Smaller 1414 and EJ enclosures and smaller C3R-HCLO sizes use the Style 1 kit, SPB1. Hinged access behind the panel makes it easier to wire and service components on both planes.
