The SPB1 is the Style 1 swing panel bracket kit from the SPB Series. It is an accessory for standard Hammond panels (sold separately) that lets a panel be mounted in the front part of an enclosure on a hinge, so the panel can swing out for access behind it. It is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who want a second mounting plane or easier access to wiring and components.
Compatibility is specific to enclosure series and size. The SPB1 is listed for:
- 1414 Series where AxB is 8"x6" or larger (not compatible with 1414 screw cover series)
- EJ Series where AxB is 8"x6" or larger
- C3R-HCLO Series where AxB is 16x12 or smaller
Sealing washers are used so that the kit preserves the approval rating of the enclosure. Note that the kit does not include a panel: a panel must be ordered separately for use with the SPB kit, and the part drawing shows the panel for reference only. Larger 1418 wallmount, HW and bigger C3R enclosures use the Style 2 kit, SPB2.
