The SHGL04601 is the 400 W heater fan in the SHGL Series and the higher-output of its two models. It is built for electrical enclosures that need a larger heating capacity or internal forced air circulation, helping integrators and facilities teams prevent condensation or hold a minimum temperature inside the cabinet.
The heater combines a resistance heating element fitted with a temperature limiter and a ball bearing axial fan delivering 20 CFM free blowing. The heating body is extruded aluminum with a black anodized finish, and the listed surface temperature is 167°F. The fan's durability rating is 30,000 hours at a 68°F ambient temperature.
For the extra output, the SHGL04601 is longer than the 250 W model, at 9.76 x 3.15 x 3.15 in (length x width x depth). It runs on AC 110-120 V, 50/60 Hz with a starting current of 3.5 A, and connects through a 3 pole terminal for 12 AWG wire. Thermostats are also available to switch the heater automatically.
The unit installs by clip mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail, clip included. It is Protection Class 1 (tested for grounding at 1250 V), IP20, and approved as a UL Recognized Component and cUL Recognized Component with CE marking. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the shipping weight is 3 lb (1.36 kg).
