- UL/cUL Recognized Component and CE; IP20
The SHGL04600 is a 250 W heater fan from the SHGL Series, intended for enclosures where larger heating capacity or internal forced air circulation is needed. Panel builders and maintenance teams use it to prevent condensation or maintain a minimum temperature inside electrical enclosures. It is the smaller of the two SHGL models, measuring 7.00 x 3.15 x 3.15 in (length x width x depth).
Heat is produced by a resistance heating element with a temperature limiter, housed in a black anodized extruded aluminum heating body. A ball bearing axial fan moves 20 CFM free blowing, pushing warm air through the enclosure rather than relying on convection alone. The fan is rated for a durability of 30,000 hours at a 68°F ambient temperature, and the listed surface temperature is 167°F.
The SHGL04600 operates on AC 110-120 V, 50/60 Hz, with a 2.2 A starting current. Wiring lands on a 3 pole terminal for 12 AWG conductors. Thermostats are also available for controlling the heater.
Installation is by clip mounting on 35 mm DIN rail, with the clip included. The unit is Protection Class 1 (tested for grounding at 1250 V) and IP20, and it carries UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE approvals. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 2.8 lb (1.27 kg).
Ideal For
- Condensation prevention in electrical enclosures
- Maintaining minimum temperature inside cabinets
- Forced-air heating where internal circulation is required
- Enclosures needing larger heating capacity
