The SCEM161110WH is a sloped aluminum console enclosure in the SCEM Series that takes the 4.50 in depth and 4.00 in rear height of the smallest model and stretches the width to 6.50 in. The extra width gives room for a row of switches, knobs or a small display on the angled front panel, for desktop controllers and instrument interfaces.
The vented back panel, bottom and sides are made of 0.081" thick (12 gauge) aluminum, and the sloped front panel is 0.064" aluminum. Slots in the bottom and the removable rear panel provide convection ventilation. The case is painted satin blue with a contempra grey panel, and it is RoHS and REACH compliant.
Nominal size is 6.50 in (165 mm) wide by 4.50 in (114 mm) deep with a 4.00 in (102 mm) rear height. The drawing shows a 60.0° slope, an overall top width of 169.72 mm [6.68 in] and an overall depth of 119.53 mm [4.71 in]. It ships in a box at 1.25 lbs (0.57 kg).
The assembly includes the bottom, top and back plus 8 cover screws and 4 rubber feet. Holes accept #6-32 self-tapping screws, and the recommended cover screw torque is 13-14 lbf-in (150-160 cN-m). Order 1421J8 for replacement screws. Factory machining and printing are available on request, as are STEP or IGES solid models.
