Hammond RZVS1918BK1 17.84 in Deep Vented Side-Mount Rack Shelf

The RZVS1918BK1 is a vented, side-mounted fixed shelf for four-post cabinets, measuring 17.84 in (453 mm) deep by 17.75 in (451 mm) wide with an overall height of 1.31 in (33 mm). Instead of consuming front rack units, it mounts to the side of both pairs of a cabinet's combination rails, leaving the full rack face free for active equipment. It suits IT, AV and industrial teams who need a sturdy platform for non-rackmount devices such as UPS systems, network appliances and servers.

Construction is heavy-duty steel (the part drawing specifies 14 GA. steel construction; the series specification cites 16-gauge), finished in painted black textured powder coat. The shelf platform is vented with 0.24 x 1.50 in venting slots to promote upward airflow, and the rear flange is folded upward 0.31 in (8 mm) to add rigidity while acting as an integrated equipment retainer; it is fitted with a protective rubber channel to help prevent equipment scratches and cable chafing.
