Hammond RZVS1931BK1 30.84 in Deep Vented Side-Mount Rack Shelf

The RZVS1931BK1 is a vented side-mount fixed shelf for four-post cabinets, built for IT, AV and industrial users who need a sturdy platform for non-rackmount gear without giving up front rack units. Instead of attaching to the front mounting rails, it fastens to the side of both pairs of combination rails, leaving the full rack face free for active equipment.

Construction is heavy-duty steel with a painted black textured powder coat finish; the drawing notes 14 GA steel construction, while series literature describes 16-gauge steel supporting up to 170 lb (77 kg). The shelf surface is vented with 0.24 x 1.50 in venting slots to promote upward airflow. Folded side flanges add strength and let hardware be installed from above, and the rear flange is folded upward 0.31 in (8 mm) to stiffen the shelf and act as an equipment retainer. The rear flange carries a protective rubber channel to help prevent equipment scratches and cable chafing.
