Hammond RZ0232C 222x146x75 mm Clear Lid Polycarbonate Enclosure

The RZ0232C is the largest and deepest RZ Series body, 222 mm x 146 mm x 75 mm (8.74 in x 5.75 in x 2.95 in), fitted with a clear polycarbonate lid. It suits big assemblies with tall parts or DIN rail devices where operators need to see displays, indicator lamps or the state of the equipment without opening the box.

The light gray RAL7035 polycarbonate body has a smooth surface, UL94 V-2 flammability rating and a -40 °C to +130 °C temperature range, and polycarbonate is suggested for outdoor use. Two-piece tongue & groove gasketing protects against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. Six self-captivating lid screws hold the cover, with corrosion resistant hardware throughout.

According to the drawing, the inside height is 69.00 mm [2.72 in] and the inside width is 138.02 mm [5.43 in]. Boards up to 210.37 mm x 137.19 mm mount on internal points that accept M3 self-tapping screws, and DIN rail mounted components are also supported. Wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket perimeter via through box-blind hole construction.

Each RZ0232C is packed in a bag at 1.17 lbs (0.53 kg) with the box, clear lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 6 lid screws. Tighten to (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. Replacement gasket: RZ0353GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980745688. RZ0232 is the version without a clear lid.
