RZ0218C is the large 222 mm x 146 mm x 55 mm (8.74 in x 5.75 in x 2.17 in) RZ Series enclosure with a clear polycarbonate lid. The wide transparent cover exposes a large board area, useful for control panels with multiple indicators, display boards or equipment that needs visual inspection without opening.
The light gray RAL7035 polycarbonate body has a smooth surface, a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and a -40 °C to +130 °C range, and polycarbonate is suggested for outdoor use. A two-piece tongue & groove gasket seals the lid against oil, dust and water; the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. Six self-captivating lid screws secure the cover, and the hardware is corrosion resistant.
Inside dimensions from the drawing are 49.00 mm [1.93 in] high and 138.72 mm [5.46 in] wide. P.C. boards up to 213.87 mm x 137.87 mm mount on internal points that accept M3 self-tapping screws, and the mounting design also covers DIN rail mounted components. Wall-mounting holes are located outside the gasket perimeter.
The RZ0218C ships in a bag at 1.08 lbs (0.49 kg) with the box, clear lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 6 lid screws. Recommended torque: (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. Replacement gasket: RZ0317GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980745671. RZ0218 is the version without the clear lid.
