Hammond RSVS1921BK1 2U 21 in Deep Vented Sliding Shelf, 114 lb

The RSVS1921BK1 is a 2U vented sliding rack shelf from the RSUS Series, built to hold non-rackmount equipment such as servers, UPS units, AV components and test instruments inside standard 4-post racks and cabinets. The ball-bearing slides let the platform be pulled forward for cabling and service access, making it suited to IT rooms, telecom rooms, data centers, broadcast racks and laboratory environments where equipment is handled regularly.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel finished in black textured powder coat, a finish that is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The vented shelf pan uses 0.24 x 1.50 in venting slots to improve airflow around heat-generating devices; a solid version of the same size is offered as RSUS1921BK1. The shelf measures 21.00 in (533 mm) deep by 16.64 in (423 mm) wide with a 1.50 in (38 mm) shelf height, and overall dimensions of 18.89 in (480 mm) wide by 2.68 in (68 mm) high. Load capacity for this depth is 114 lbs (52 kg), and the drawing notes a maximum weight of 120 lb.

Installation requires two pairs of mounting rails in a 4-post rack or cabinet. The adjustable mounting brackets cover a rail mounting depth of 12.00 in (305 mm) to 21.00 in (533 mm) — the drawing shows a min 12 in to max 22 in rail mounting distance — so RSVS1921BK1 fits a wide range of cabinet depths. Two 20 in full-travel slides give 20.00 in (508 mm) of extension and include an integrated stop so the shelf does not pull completely out during servicing; the slides are tested to BIFMA standards for a minimum of 55,000 cycles.

The shelf occupies 2U but requires 3U of mounting space, and is not designed for product mounting directly above or below. It is manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility and is TAA-compliant, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant.
