Hammond RS5805 254x204x130 mm Deep IP65 Abs Sealed Enclosure

The RS5805 is the deepest ABS plastic sealed enclosure in the RS Series. It shares the 254 mm x 204 mm footprint of the RS5705 but rises to 130 mm, giving room for tall components, stacked boards or wiring above a P.C. board. It is designed for indoor electronics sealed from dust and water; the series is not for outdoor use.

The enclosure is molded in light gray general purpose ABS with a light texture, rated UL94 HB. Its two-part styled lid has a smooth recessed top for a membrane, label or silkscreen. The lid closes with stainless steel machine screws into stainless steel inserts and seals with a two-piece tongue & groove gasket, supplied as an included kit, that protects against oil, dust and water. The enclosure is designed to meet IP65.

Ordering table dimensions are 254 mm x 204 mm x 130 mm, and the nominal size is 9.84 in x 7.87 in x 5.12 in (250 x 200 x 130 mm). The drawing lists 123.50 mm [4.86 in] inside height and 192.10 mm [7.56 in] inside width. P.C. board standoffs are molded into both halves and accept M3 self-tapping screws.
