Hammond RRHDCASTER Heavy Duty Stem Caster Set, 2,000 lb Capacity

RRHDCASTER is a heavy duty, four-piece stem caster set from the RRCASTER Series, intended for IT, AV and industrial teams who need to make an open frame rack or equipment cabinet mobile. The set is supplied as a complete kit of four casters with mounting hardware included, so a single order outfits one rack or cabinet.

Each caster uses a ball bearing swivel and a hard composition wheel measuring 3.00 in (76 mm) in diameter. The stem is a 1/2"-13 threaded stud, 1.5" (38.1 mm) long, which threads into the base of a compatible rack or cabinet. Installed, the casters add 3.88 in (99 mm) to the overall height of the cabinet, which should be accounted for when planning door clearance, overhead cable trays and top-of-rack equipment access.

Rated strength for the RRHDCASTER set is 2,000 lbs (907 kg) weight capacity. All four casters are lockable with brakes included, allowing the rack to be rolled into position and then held in place. Hammond notes that care should be taken when moving a rack, as it may be unstable depending on the equipment loading pattern; verify that weight distribution is safe for mobile use before rolling.
