The RP1635C is a deep light gray ABS enclosure with a clear polycarbonate lid, 254 x 204 x 130 mm (10.00 x 8.03 x 5.12 in). No ABS opaque lid model is offered in this size, so the RP1635C is the ABS option for integrators and OEMs who need a large, deep, see-through housing.
Hammond's drawing describes it as General Purpose ABS Light Grey with Polycarbonate Clear Lid (UL94 HB). The part page lists a nominal size of 250 x 200 x 130 mm (9.84 x 7.87 x 5.12 in); the ordering table and drawing give 254 x 204 x 130 mm (10.00 x 8.03 x 5.12 in) overall. A two piece tongue & groove lid with an included rubber gasket, installed in the field, provides IP65 protection against oil, dust and water.
The inside measures 241.70 x 192.20 x 123.50 mm (9.52 x 7.57 x 4.86 in). P.C. boards up to 235 x 186 mm mount on posts for M3 self-tapping screws, and the lid provides a smooth recessed area for a membrane, label or silkscreen. Four self captivating M3.5 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant bushings for repeat access.
Each RP1635C is bagged with box, lid, string gasket, four PCB screws and four lid screws. It is RoHS and REACH compliant. For this size, STC580 / STA580 inner panels, RP161GASKET, and MF0050 / MF0055 feet kits are listed; solid models are available in .stp or .x_t.
