Hammond RMCV191013BK1 6U Vented Aluminum Instrument Enclosure, 13" Deep

The RMCV191013BK1 is a 6U rackmount / desktop instrument enclosure with vented top and bottom panels, sized 17.00 in wide by 13.00 in deep by 10.48 in high (432 x 330 x 266 mm). It is built for engineers, OEM designers and integrators who need a light, easily modified aluminum chassis that fits a standard 19 in rack or sits on a bench.

Construction is 5052 H32 aluminum held together entirely with machine screws and PEM nuts, so the enclosure tolerates repeated assembly and disassembly. Side panels and rack mount brackets are 0.125 in (3.2 mm) thick, front and rear panels 0.064 in (1.6 mm), and top and bottom panels 0.062 in (1.6 mm). Everything is finished in a rugged, satin textured black powder coat. Because of that coating, panels are not grounded to the frame, and the grounding method is left to the user.

The enclosure provides 10.50 in (267 mm) of usable mounting height, with 9.56 in (243 mm) of inside height clearance when the optional internal chassis is installed. The drawing gives an inside width of 16.73 in (425.04 mm) and an overall width across the mounting tabs of 19.00 in (482.60 mm).

It ships knocked down in a box: 2 front/rear panels, 2 top/bottom panels, 2 side panels, 2 mounting tabs, 4 inner brackets, 24 screws and 4 rubber feet. Any of the six panels comes off by removing only 4 screws, and the vents can face the front or the back. Recommended cover screw torque is 8.9-9.4 lbf-in (100-110 cN-m). Matching accessories include the RMP1913 inner panel, RMCP10 series front and rear panels, and the RMCHANDLE6U pull handle kit.
