Hammond RM2015S Low-Profile 130x100x31 mm ABS Instrument Enclosure

The RM2015S is the shallow version of the 130 x 100 mm RM Series footprint: a 31 mm deep light grey ABS instrument enclosure for flat P.C. board assemblies that need a neat desktop or bench case without wasted height. It is designed to house P.C. boards for instrument use and suits OEM engineers, designers and electronics builders.

The enclosure is molded in light grey general purpose ABS plastic with a light texture, while the front and rear panels are smooth. The material carries a UL94 HB flammability rating. It uses two-part clam shell construction, and the front and rear panels are interchangeable and easily removable for modification. The bottom half has molded-in standoffs that accept the supplied M2.6 x 6mm self-tapping P.C. board screws.

Listed dimensions are 130 mm long x 100 mm wide x 31 mm deep, and the RM2015S accepts a P.C. board of up to 121.5 x 88 mm. Inside height is 25.30 mm [1.00 in]. Shipping weight is 0.22 lbs (0.10 kg).

Tongue and groove construction provides protection against dust and water, and the design is intended to meet IP43. The lid is closed with the supplied M3 self-tapping lid screws (replacement pack SC616-50). Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 2 end panels, 4 P.C. board screws and 2 lid screws; recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The optional FT-01 folding foot kit mounts to the bottom half toward the front to angle the front panel for viewing.

The RM2015S is REACH and RoHS compliant. Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t format.
