Hammond RM2015M Mid-Depth 130x100x50 mm ABS Instrument Enclosure

The RM2015M is the 50 mm deep, middle option in the 130 x 100 mm RM Series footprint, a light grey ABS instrument enclosure sized for P.C. board assemblies carrying taller components such as connectors, relays or small transformers. It is designed to house P.C. boards for instrument use and suits OEM engineers, designers and electronics builders.

The enclosure is molded in light grey general purpose ABS plastic with a light texture, while the front and rear panels are smooth. The material carries a UL94 HB flammability rating. It uses two-part clam shell construction, and the front and rear panels are interchangeable and easily removable for modification. The drawing shows screw-accepting P.C. board mounting points on both the inside bottom and inside top.

Listed dimensions are 130 mm long x 100 mm wide x 50 mm deep, and the RM2015M accepts a P.C. board of up to 121.5 x 88 mm. Inside height is 44.80 mm [1.76 in]. Shipping weight is 0.3 lbs (0.14 kg).

Tongue and groove construction provides protection against dust and water, and the design is intended to meet IP43. The halves are secured with M3 Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings, which suits applications where the case is opened and closed repeatedly; the drawing lists the M3 x 20mm lid screw as replacement pack SC610-50. Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 2 end panels, 4 P.C. board screws and 2 lid screws; recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The optional FT-01 folding foot kit mounts to the bottom half toward the front to angle the front panel for viewing.

The RM2015M is REACH and RoHS compliant. Enclosures can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t format.
