Hammond RM1U28BKSP 1U x 28 in Replacement Side Panel, Black Aluminum

The RM1U28BKSP is a replacement 1U side panel for the RM Series rack mount aluminum instrument enclosure, sold individually. It has a nominal depth of 28.00 in (711 mm) and is listed as a 1U x 28" side panel in black. It suits integrators, OEM engineers and service technicians who need to replace a damaged side, re-work a chassis or keep a spare on hand.

The panel is aluminum; RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosure is finished in a rugged textured black powder coat. Because of that powder coat finish, panels are not grounded to the frame, so the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.

On the drawing, the panel measures 711.18 mm [28.00 in] long with a profile height of 43.69 mm [1.720 in] and a profile width of 16.51 mm [0.650 in]. As the deepest 1U side panel at 28.00 in, it has eight 4.20 mm (0.165 in) holes on both sides, three 4.04 mm (0.159 in) holes, four 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes and four countersunk through holes.

The RM Series uses interchangeable side panels, and the ordering table lists the same 28.00 in depth in other heights as RM2U28BKSP (2U), RM3U28BKSP (3U), RM4U28BKSP (4U), RM5U28BKSP (5U). The RM1U28BKSP ships at 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
