Hammond RM1U18BKSP 1U x 18 in Replacement Side Panel, Black Aluminum

The RM1U18BKSP is a replacement 1U side panel for the RM Series rack mount aluminum instrument enclosure, sold individually. It has a nominal depth of 18.00 in (457 mm) and is listed as a 1U x 18" side panel in black. It suits integrators, OEM engineers and service technicians who need to replace a damaged side, re-work a chassis or keep a spare on hand.

The panel is aluminum; RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosure is finished in a rugged textured black powder coat. Because of that powder coat finish, panels are not grounded to the frame, so the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.

On the drawing, the panel measures 457.20 mm [18.000 in] long with a profile height of 43.69 mm [1.720 in] and a profile width of 16.51 mm [0.650 in]. At 18.00 in depth this panel carries four 4.30 mm (0.169 in) holes on both sides plus a group of three 4.78 mm (0.188 in) holes, in addition to its four 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes. The 18 in depth is also the depth at which the series table lists the RM1U18BRKT adjustable rear bracket for 1U cases.

The RM Series uses interchangeable side panels, and the ordering table lists the same 18.00 in depth in other heights as RM2U18BKSP (2U), RM3U18BKSP (3U), RM4U18BKSP (4U), RM5U18BKSP (5U). The RM1U18BKSP ships at 0.75 lbs (0.34 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
