Hammond RM1U18BRKT 1U Adjustable-Depth Rear Bracket Kit, Steel Pair

The RM1U18BRKT is an adjustable-depth rear bracket kit, sold as a pair of rear rack ears, for mounting deeper 1U RM Series rack mount aluminum enclosures in a 4-post rack. It is aimed at integrators and equipment builders who need to support the back of a long 1U chassis instead of relying only on the front ears.

The series ordering table lists it for the 1U full-width enclosures RM1U1918SBK/RM1U1918VBK (18.00 in deep), RM1U1922SBK/RM1U1922VBK (22.00 in deep) and RM1U1928SBK/RM1U1928VBK (28.00 in deep), and it is compatible with full 16.60 in width versions only. The maximum depth added to the chassis is 16.00 in (406 mm). The enclosure itself is not included.

The brackets are steel in black and ship in a box at 1.54 lbs (0.70 kg). The drawing shows a rear support bracket and a rear extension bracket 508.00 mm [20.000 in] long with nine 4.78 mm (0.188 in) holes and two 6-32 PEM nuts. The supplied hardware listed on the drawing is:

• 4x #6 external tooth washers and 4x #6 flat washers
• 4x #8 hex nuts and 4x #8 internal tooth washers
• 4x 6-32 x 1/2" screws and 4x 8-32 x 1/2" screws
• 8x 10-32 clip nuts and 8x 10-32 x 1/2" screws are shown but not supplied

The RM1U18BRKT is RoHS and REACH compliant. Its part page lists a size of 1.75 in x 16.6 in x 18 in (44 mm x 422 mm x 457 mm), matching the RM1U1918 case it is drawn with.
