Hammond RL6115 80x60x40 mm ABS Project Box, Light Gray

The RL6115 is the 40 mm high version of the 80 x 60 mm RL Series shallow-lid ABS project enclosure, in light gray. At 80 x 60 x 40 mm (3.15 x 2.36 x 1.57 in), it gives an extra 10 mm of height over the RL6105 for taller components, while staying compact enough for hand-held use.

The two-part enclosure is molded in light gray general purpose ABS with a light texture and a UL94 HB flammability rating. It is designed to meet IP54, and both halves feature a smooth recessed area 0.30 mm deep for a membrane, label or silkscreen.

Inside dimensions from the drawing are 74.72 mm long, 54.72 mm wide and 34.70 mm high. The part page lists a maximum P.C. board of 74.43 x 54.43 mm, while the series table gives 73.91 x 53.91 mm, so check your board against the drawing. Standoffs molded into both halves accept M2.6 self-tapping screws.

The assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws, with a recommended torque of (43-50) Ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m; replacement packs are SC520-50 and SC519-50. RL6115 is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships bagged at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg), and is also available as RL6115BK (black) and RL6115-F / RL6115-FBK (flanged).
