Hammond RDA2U4 2U 4-Inch Rack Rail Depth Adapter Kit

The RDA2U4 is a 2U rack rail depth adapter kit used to move rack-mounted equipment forward or backward by up to 4 inches (102 mm) without modifying the rack or replacing its mounting rails. It is intended for IT and network integrators, AV installers, control system builders and facilities teams who need extra clearance behind patch panels, switches and cable management accessories.

The adapters are formed from 16-gauge steel in mild steel material and finished in a black smooth powder coat. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The kit supports equipment weighing up to 10 lb (4.5 kg), making it suited to lightweight rack devices rather than deep or heavy loads.

Each RDA2U4 bracket measures 3.50 in (89 mm) high with a 4.00 in (102 mm) depth, and provides 3.50 in (89 mm) of mounting height for 2U of rack space. Square 0.375 in cutouts allow standard cage-nut mounting, so the kit also converts round-hole or threaded rails into square-hole mounting for mixed rack environments. Compatibility covers all standard 19-inch EIA-310-E mounting rails, including most open frame racks and cabinets.

RDA2U4 is sold in pairs and includes two adaptor brackets, four 10-32 x 0.625 in screws, four 10-32 cage nuts and installation instructions for quick deployment. Shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
