The RDA1U4 is a 1U rack rail depth adapter kit that repositions rack-mounted equipment up to 4 inches (102 mm) forward or backward without modifying the rack or replacing its mounting rails. It is aimed at IT and network integrators, AV installers, electricians and facilities teams who need extra room behind patch panels, switches and cable management accessories.
The kit is built from 16-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The brackets are sold in pairs (left and right) and support equipment up to 10 lb (4.5 kg). Each bracket measures 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, with a 1.75 in (44 mm) mounting height for a single rack unit of equipment.
RDA1U4 fits all standard 19-inch EIA-310-E mounting rails, so it suits most open frame racks and cabinets. It also converts round-hole and threaded rails into square-hole mounting, which makes it useful in mixed rack environments and retrofit or equipment upgrade projects. Each bracket includes 0.375 in square cutouts for cage nuts and obround 0.250 x 0.375 in mounting slots.
