Hammond RCK42U25BK 42U 25-Inch Deep Knock-Down Rack Cabinet

The RCK42U25BK is a 42U knock-down rack cabinet measuring 78.5 in x 24 in x 25 in (1,994 mm x 610 mm x 635 mm), built for AV, network, and general equipment installations that need a flexible, configurable enclosure. It belongs to Hammond's RCK modular cabinet platform, developed for homelab and Pro-AV applications with features such as bonus rack units, compatibility with standard hardware components, and mounting points for four-screw field-installable doors.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel for the cabinet frame with 12-gauge mounting rails, giving a 1,050 lb load capacity for fixed-mounted AV, network, and general equipment. The finish is a textured black powder coat in RAL9005 Black, described as GREENGUARD, TSCA, and RoHS compliant to support indoor air quality and environmental compliance.

Usable mounting space is 73.50 in (1,867 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide, and 22.56 in (573 mm) deep, and the rack is rated 42U + 1U, where the extra 1U refers to usable accessory mounting at the top-rear of the cabinet. Two pairs of adjustable-depth, EIA-310 compliant 10-32 tapped mounting rails are supplied along with a 50-pack of SCREW1032-50 10-32 mounting hardware.

The knock-down design ships unassembled for easier transport and handling in constrained spaces, and the self-squaring assembly aligns quickly with minimal effort. Numerous cable tie-off points and conduit knockouts support organized routing, and ganging capability allows side-by-side expansion. RCK42U25BK ships with a solid C2T1923S top panel; doors are not included and are available as optional solid, vented, or window field-installable panels. The cabinet is TAA compliant and manufactured in North America.
