Hammond RCBS1901424BK1 8U Enclosed Desktop Rack Cabinet, 24.5" Deep

The RCBS1901424BK1 is an 8U enclosed desktop rack cabinet for mounting 19-inch equipment on a bench, console or work surface. It suits AV and media integrators, studio and control room builders, test and measurement engineers and lab teams who need equipment protected inside a compact, movable case rather than a full floor-standing cabinet.

Construction is 16-gauge welded steel (mild steel) with a 600 lb load rating, finished in RAL9005 black textured powder coat. The cabinet is fully enclosed with top, bottom and side panels, and ships as a welded bottom assembly plus a top and sides section, two black plastic lifting handles for portability between workstations, and four plug bumper feet for stable, non-marking desktop placement.

Overall dimensions are 16 in x 21 in x 24.5 in (406 mm x 533 mm x 622 mm), giving 8U of rack space with 14.00 in (356 mm) of usable mounting height and 23.88 in (607 mm) of usable mounting depth; the drawing shows 23.76 in (604 mm) usable depth and a 17.81 in (452 mm) front opening. Mounting rails are fixed depth and EIA-310 compliant with 0.28 in (7 mm) round holes on the 19-inch mounting pattern, recessed at front and rear to improve equipment clearance.

RCBS1901424BK1 is shipped with a starter pack (CLPKIT1032-10) of 10-32 clip nuts and a matching quantity of 1421ABK black screws. It is manufactured in Canada, TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, and RoHS and REACH compliant, with the powder coat finish also described as GREENGUARD and TSCA compliant.
