Hammond R588-080-130 Variable Cover Plates, Joins 80mm to 130mm Extrusion

The R588-080-130 is a set of variable cover plates and gaskets for the R250 Series mobilCASE extruded aluminum enclosures. Instead of closing a single body, variable style end plates are sold in a set to connect two extrusions side by side, letting designers build a larger, multi-section portable case from standard mobilCASE bodies. This set joins a 80 mm profile extrusion to a 130 mm profile extrusion.

According to the series table, the R588-080-130 is used to join aluminum extrusion series R250-080 or R251-080 TO R250-130 or R251-130. Either the one-piece closed body (R250) or the two-piece "clam shell" body (R251) can be used on each side; the two sides can be different profile sizes, which is useful when one section needs more internal room than the other.

The plates are heavy duty diecast aluminum painted with textured black powder paint (RAL 9005). Each set includes the cover plates, thermoplastic black gaskets and mounting hardware.
