The PPGPFPA230 is a pre-assembled 3U rack mount active cooling panel with two factory-installed 230 VAC fans, built to provide exhaust cooling for server cabinets, network racks and telecom enclosures. It is a ready-to-install option for IT and telecom teams, AV integrators, control panel builders and facilities staff who need to pull heat out of enclosed rack equipment without building a custom fan tray.

The panel is fabricated from mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The front panel is punched to provide integral finger protection, and the rear of each fan carries a metal safety guard. Construction is heavy-duty steel throughout, and the assembly is manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility, making it TAA-compliant.

PPGPFPA230 mounts to standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails, occupying 3U with a mounting height of 5.25 in (133 mm). The drawing shows a 482.60 mm [19.000 in] overall panel width with an 461.98 mm [18.188 in] dimension across the front, a 132.54 mm [5.218 in] panel height and a 57.15 mm [2.250 in] side depth. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

The two-fan configuration moves 210 CFM at a rated noise level of 60 dB, drawing 44 W at 50 Hz and 42 W at 60 Hz. As a 230 VAC model it ships without a 115 VAC plug; the 72 in power cord is pigtailed for 230 VAC hardwiring and can be daisy-chained for simple installation. Each fan is rated 22W - 0.57A at 115Vac.

Use the panel on its own for exhaust airflow, or combine it with the Hammond PPGP Fan Grill Panel and intake filters to create a push-pull cooling scheme. It is also compatible with Hammond thermostats for automatic temperature-controlled operation.

Ideal For

  • Removing heat from enclosed server and network rack cabinets
  • Creating active exhaust airflow in 19-inch rack systems
  • Building push-pull cooling with intake fan panels and filter grills
  • AV, broadcast and telecommunications equipment racks
  • Industrial control systems and edge computing installations
