Hammond PJU864T 8x6x4 Solid Cover Twist Latch Type 4X Box with Feet

PJU864T is an 8 x 6 x 4 solid-cover Type 4X junction box with a twist latch closure and four polycarbonate feet, from the PJU Series of fiberglass polyester enclosures. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, or junction and terminal wiring box where equipment may be hosed down or exposed to heat and corrosive conditions.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors, easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover hinges on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and closes with a lockable stainless steel butterfly type twist latch on center, which also has a padlocking provision. A captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides the seal.

The PJU864T measures 8.05 in x 6.27 in x 4.13 in (204 x 159 x 105 mm) and has a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Its four polycarbonate feet attach with stainless steel screws into #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The optional 14R0705 inner panel measures 6.75 in x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), fastened with plated carbon steel screws.

The series is UL 508A and cUL listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with IEC 60529 IP66, with an operating range of -40°C to 130°C and an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
