Hammond PJU201610LF 20x16x10 In Solid Hinged Cover Type 4X Box, Flange

The PJU201610LF is a 20 x 16 x 10 in nominal Type 4X polyester junction box from the PJU Series, built with a continuous-hinge door with two lockable stainless steel snap latches and a solid cover. It is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and suits locations where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where high temperatures or corrosive conditions are present.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish. The fiberglass polyester is easily punched, cut or drilled, carries enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and rates an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). It seals with a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket; the door swings on a molded continuous hinge with a stainless steel pin, and the snap latch fasteners include a provision for padlocking.

Enclosure dimensions are 20.50 in H x 16.27 in W x 10.13 in D (521 mm x 413 mm x 257 mm). With its two glued polycarbonate mounting flanges fitted, the drawing shows an overall height of 22.00 in. Threaded brass inserts accept the optional P2068 inner panel, which measures 18.44 in x 14.44 in and is offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

The PJU201610LF mounts through (4) 0.32 in (8.20 mm) holes in its polycarbonate flanges, spaced 21.28 in x 10.00 in per the drawing. Mounting hardware is included. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
