Hammond PJU181610HW 18x16x10 Hinged Window Cover Type 4X Box with Feet

The PJU181610HW is an 18 x 16 x 10 in Type 4X polyester enclosure with a hinged screw cover and polycarbonate viewing window. The hinged door stays attached while you work inside, making it a practical choice for control panel builders and maintenance teams housing instruments, terminals or electric, hydraulic and pneumatic controls that must stay visible.

Construction is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester for both box and cover, finished in light gray and protected by enhanced UV inhibitors. The door rides on a continuous stainless steel hinge pin and closes against a captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket. Two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings thread into #10-32 brass inserts to secure it.

The enclosure measures 18.30 in H x 16.52 in W x 10.13 in D (465 x 420 x 257 mm). Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws take the optional P1868 inner panel, 16.88 x 14.88 in, available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

Four polycarbonate feet mount to the rear with stainless steel screws; the drawing gives a 20.12 in overall height with feet and 19.16 in vertical hole spacing. Ratings include UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with an operating range of -40°C to 130°C and a 6.78 J impact index.
