Hammond PJU1086LF 10x8x6 Solid Cover Type 4X Box, Flange Mount

The PJU1086LF is a 10.05 x 8.27 x 6.13 in (255 x 210 x 156 mm) Type 4X junction box with a solid fiberglass polyester cover and two glued polycarbonate mounting flanges. The drawing shows (4X) 0.34 in (8.65 mm) flange holes on 10.75 in (273.04 mm) vertical centers, and 11.50 in (292.09 mm) overall height including flanges.

It is part of the PJU Series, designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and suited to hosed-down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive locations. Ratings are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall is easily punched, cut or drilled. The door is carried on a molded hinge with a 316 stainless steel pin and secured by a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch with padlock provision, sealing against a formed-in-place polyurethane gasket. The flanges fasten with #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel screws.

Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts and plated carbon steel screws take the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), listed in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The enclosure operates from 130°C to -40°C, has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
