Hammond PJU1086CCTF 10x8x6 Clear Cover Twist Latch Type 4X Box, Flange

The PJU1086CCTF is the flange-mount version of the 10 x 8 x 6 clear cover twist latch enclosure in the PJU Series. It provides a Type 4X, IP66 rated housing with a see-through cover for instruments, terminal wiring and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic controls mounted on walls or structures in wet, hot or corrosive surroundings.

The part drawing lists a compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester box and cover, a clear cover and window of injected polycarbonate, and a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness. Closure is by a 316 stainless steel lockable twist latch, the hinge pin is 316 stainless steel, and a FIP polyurethane gasket seals the cover. Series door fasteners include a provision for padlocking.

Enclosure dimensions from the ordering table are 10.05 in x 8.27 in x 6.13 in (255 x 210 x 156 mm). Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the box and fastened with 316 stainless steel flange screws into #10-32 brass inserts; mounting hardware is included.

Inside, #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 in x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm); back panels are offered in aluminum, white steel and galvannealed, or fiberglass. The PJU1086CCTF series is UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, operates from -40°C to 130°C, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
