Hammond PJHMI66CCHTP 6x6 Clear Polycarbonate HMI Cover, Tamperproof Screws

PJHMI66CCHTP is the tamperproof version of the 6x6 clear HMI cover kit: the same hinged, clear polycarbonate window over a device cutout, but closed with tamper proof screws with O-rings. It suits panels where the instrument behind the window must stay visible yet should not be opened with ordinary tools.

The frame (WGF66) and clear cover are injected polycarbonate; the cover pivots on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin (70-HPIN6316) and seals on a formed-in-place (FIP) polyurethane gasket in a continuous channel. Two tamper proof screws with O-rings (CMSO316TP) thread into #10-32 threaded inserts to hold the cover closed. The series offers the clear polycarbonate thermoplastic cover version as PJHMI66CCHTP; the matching opaque cover version is PJHMI66HTP. It is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated for a service temperature of -31°F (-35°C) to 266°F (130°C).

The frame measures 5.93 in (151 mm) H x 6.15 in (156 mm) W x 2.27 in (58 mm) D, with a viewing area of 4.47 in (114 mm) H x 4.69 in (119 mm) W; the nominal size is 6 in x 6 in x 2 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 51 mm). Installation needs a Phillips screwdriver or similar tool: mark and cut a panel opening of up to 4.47 in H x 4.69 in W, drill 7/32 or #2 (.220 dia) holes, and mount the kit with 8 fasteners. The supplied hardware suits mounting surfaces from .059 in to .250 in thick (the series is designed for wall thicknesses from 16 gauge through 1/4 in), torqued to 15-20 in-lbs. An optional prop arm, PJHMIPROP66, is available separately.

The PJHMI66CCHTP is a listed UL component (UL File E487574) for use with enclosures rated Types 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 or 13, and is CSA listed Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 or 13. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg).
