Hammond PJ864RHW 8 x 6 x 4 in Hinged Window Cover Junction Box

The PJ864RHW combines a viewing window with hinged access in an 8.00 x 6.12 x 4.13 in (203 x 155 x 105 mm) Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester junction box. Its raised, hinged cover carries a bonded polycarbonate window, which suits instrument enclosures and control housings for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, as well as junction and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, washdown, hot or highly corrosive locations.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.55 mm) wall, a 316 stainless steel hinge (continuous per the series) and two 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts. A captive oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket seals the cover.

The optional 14R0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), mounts to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws, hardware included, in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. For wall mounting, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to rear brass inserts with 316 stainless steel screws.

The PJ864RHW is listed UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
