The PJ24248RLW is the 24 x 24 x 8 PJ enclosure with a raised window cover. Its 24.00 x 24.00 x 8.13 in (610 x 610 x 207 mm) square body is paired with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window, letting operators read meters and indicators on large assemblies while the enclosure remains sealed.
Hammond designed the series for instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, particularly where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to corrosive chemicals. The compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester box and cover are gray, UV inhibited and easily punched, cut or drilled. The door is supported on a continuous stainless steel hinge.

Optional back panel thicknesses on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and 0.125 in fiberglass. The enclosure operates from 130°C to -40°C and has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb).
The PJ24248RLW carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) ratings and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 26 lbs (11.79 kg).
