Hammond PJ24208RLW 24x20x8 In Type 4X Window Cover Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ24208RLW is the window-cover model of the 24 x 20 x 8 PJ enclosure. The 24.00 x 20.00 x 8.13 in (610 x 508 x 207 mm) body has a raised cover with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window, so larger instrument and control assemblies can be monitored without opening the enclosure.

The series is designed for instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and control housings where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and where high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions exist. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and are easily punched, cut or drilled.

The drawing lists optional back panels in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.105 in white steel and 0.250 in fiberglass. Inner panels are offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Operating temperature is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), impact index 6.78 J (5 ft/lb).

The PJ24208RLW carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) ratings and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 24 lbs (10.89 kg).
