Hammond PJ18168RLW 18x16x8 In Type 4X Window Lid Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ18168RLW pairs the 18 x 16 x 8 PJ enclosure with a raised cover that includes a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. Measuring 18.40 x 16.40 x 8.13 in (467 x 417 x 207 mm), it houses larger instrument and control assemblies while letting staff check readouts through the cover.

The PJ series is designed for instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring and control housings where equipment may be hosed down or very wet, and in high-temperature or highly corrosive settings. Both halves are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors; the enclosure is easily punched, cut or drilled.

The optional P1868 inner panel (16.88 x 14.88 in / 429 x 378 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Four 316 stainless steel feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear using 316 stainless steel screws; foot holes are .34 in (8.74 mm).

The PJ18168RLW is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from 130°C to -40°C, has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg).
