The PJ16148R is a larger PJ raised lid junction box at 16.27 in H x 14.40 in W x 8.13 in D (413 x 366 x 207 mm), closed with a lift-off solid cover. Its 8.13 in depth leaves room for control components, terminal blocks and instrumentation in electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The enclosure is easily punched, cut or drilled, carries a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, and operates between 130°C and -40°C (266°F to -40°F).
Four stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings thread into #10-32 brass inserts, and a closed cell neoprene gasket seals the cover for hose-down, very wet and corrosive environments. The PJ16148R is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
For installation, four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with stainless feet screws. Inside, brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1513 inner panel, 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm), available in white powder coated steel, aluminum or fiberglass. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
