Hammond PJ1086P12 12-Hole 30.5mm Lift Off Cover Pushbutton Enclosure

The PJ1086P12 is a twelve-hole fiberglass polyester pushbutton enclosure for 30.5mm devices with a lift off screw cover. As a PJPBLC Series enclosure it offers outstanding insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, making it a practical choice for OEMs building larger operator panels for harsh plant areas.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and are easily punched, cut, or drilled. Four captive stainless steel cover screws with retaining O-rings thread into #10-32 brass inserts, compressing a captive oil resistant gasket (closed cell neoprene per the drawing) for a positive seal. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering.

The PJ1086P12 measures 10.13 in H x 8.26 in W x 6.13 in D (257 mm x 210 mm x 156 mm), with a long description of 11.076 x 9.201 x 6.125, and ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Stainless steel mounting feet and hardware are provided for mounting to the rear of the enclosure. Inside, threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 in x 6.88 in, or a terminal kit. The hinged cover version is PJ1086HP12.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. Operating temperatures run from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), the impact index is 6.78J (5 ft/lb), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
