Hammond PJ12106HP16 16-Hole 30.5mm Hinged Fiberglass Pushbutton Box

The PJ12106HP16 is a 16-hole pushbutton enclosure for 30.5mm devices with a hinged screw cover, sized at 12.13 x 10.26 x 6.13 in. Part of the PJPBLC Series, it serves machine builders and plant engineers assembling larger operator stations for equipment that may be hosed down or be very wet, or that runs in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and can be easily punched, cut, or drilled. The cover swings on a stainless steel hinge and is closed with two captive stainless steel screws, each fitted with a retaining O-ring, into #10-32 brass inserts. A captive oil resistant gasket (closed cell neoprene per the drawing) provides a positive seal; enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering.

Enclosure dimensions are 12.13 in H x 10.26 in W x 6.13 in D (308 mm x 261 mm x 156 mm); the long description lists 13.076 x 11.201 x 6.125. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg). Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to rear brass inserts, and internal threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R1109 inner panel (10.75 in x 8.88 in) or a terminal kit. The lift off cover version is PJ12106P16, and a 20-hole hinged model of the same size is PJ12106HP20.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. Operating temperatures run from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), with an impact index of 6.78J (5 ft/lb). RoHS and REACH compliant.
