Hammond PJ1086HP9 9-Hole 30.5mm Hinged Pushbutton Enclosure, 6 in Deep

The PJ1086HP9 is a hinged-cover pushbutton enclosure with nine 30.5mm holes and a 6.13 in depth, giving more room behind the operators than the 4.13 in deep PJ1084HP9. It is part of the PJPBLC Series, built for equipment that may be hosed down or be very wet and for high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, and easily punched, cut, or drilled. A stainless steel hinge carries the cover, which closes with two captive stainless steel screws with retaining O-rings into #10-32 brass inserts. A captive oil resistant gasket, closed cell neoprene per the drawing, provides a positive seal, and enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering.

The PJ1086HP9 measures 10.13 in H x 8.26 in W x 6.13 in D (257 mm x 210 mm x 156 mm); its long description gives 11.076 x 9.201 x 6.125. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four stainless steel mounting feet attach at the rear, and internal threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel (8.75 in x 6.88 in) or a terminal kit. The lift off cover equivalent is PJ1086P9, and a 12-hole hinged model in this size is PJ1086HP12.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. Operating range is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F) with an impact index of 6.78J (5 ft/lb); RoHS and REACH compliant.
