Hammond PJ1086H 10x8x6 Hinged Cover Fiberglass Type 4X Box

The PJ1086H is a hinged cover Type 4X polyester junction box measuring 10.13 in H x 8.26 in W x 6.13 in D (257 x 210 x 156 mm). It combines the deeper 6.13 in body of this PJ size with a cover that swings open on a hinge, for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures that may be hosed down or be very wet.

The enclosure and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, easily punched, cut or drilled. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering. The cover is carried on a stainless steel hinge and closed with two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to brass inserts on the back, with stainless steel screws; the drawing shows 11.84 in (300.65 mm) overall height with feet fitted. The optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), or a terminal kit mounts on #10-32 threaded brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The PJ1086H ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

It is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is designed for operating temperatures from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F). RoHS and REACH compliant.
