Hammond PJ1084H 10x8x4 Hinged Cover Fiberglass Type 4X Box

The PJ1084H is the hinged cover version of the 10.13 in H x 8.26 in W x 4.13 in D (257 x 210 x 105 mm) PJ Series Type 4X polyester junction box. It is suited to instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, particularly where equipment may be hosed down, be very wet, or be exposed to high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray. They can be easily punched, cut or drilled, and enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering. The cover is carried on a stainless steel hinge and secured by two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts, closing onto a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket for a positive seal.

At the rear, four stainless steel mounting feet attach to brass inserts with stainless steel screws, for an overall height of 11.84 in (300.65 mm) on the drawing. Inside, #10-32 threaded brass inserts accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in, 222 x 175 mm) or a terminal kit, with mounting hardware included. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

The PJ1084H is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94 and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It operates between 130°C and -40°C (266°F to -40°F) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
