Hammond PF43000T12LG230 169 CFM 230V AC Type 12 Filter Fan, Light Gray

The PF43000T12LG230 is a 169 CFM filterfan from the PF GEN4 Type 12 range, built to move filtered air through electrical and control enclosures that house heat-generating equipment. It is the light gray (RAL 7035) 230V AC version of the PF 43000 fan, a good fit for panel builders, OEM engineers and maintenance teams who need to keep enclosure temperatures in check without compromising a NEMA Type 12 rating.

This version is wired for 230V AC and is rated at 39 W in the series ordering table. The installation manual lists 45 W / 39 W and 0.31 A / 0.25 A at 50/60 Hz for the 230V PF 43000. Power connection is by cage clamp terminals, and the manual states the connection may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The housing and guard are sprayed thermoplastic made from heat resistant ABS-FR that is UL 94 V0 fire approved and self-extinguishing. The fan runs on ball bearings and uses a NEMA Type 12 Filtermat of filter grade G 4 (DIN EN 779) with a filtration efficiency of 0.91. Outside dimensions are 252 x 252 x 113 mm (height x width x installation depth), with a unit weight of 1.67 kg and a noise level of 46 dB (A).

Unimpeded airflow is 169 CFM with a free-flow capacity of 188 W/K and a maximum static pressure of 112 Pa. Paired with a PFA 40000 exhaust filter (PFA40000LG in light gray), airflow in combination is 142 CFM and capacity is 69 W/K.

The patented “Click & Fit” design gives a hardware-free installation into a 223 mm cutout (+1/-0) for material up to 2 mm, or 224 mm for material over 2 mm and under 3 mm. Airflow direction can be reversed by removing four screws on the back, flipping the fan and refitting the screws. The PF43000T12LG230 is UL Recognized to UL 508 (category NITW2/8, File #E175229), its fan motor is CSA Approved, and it maintains a UL Tested NEMA Type 12 seal and IP 55 protection when installed as specified.
