Hammond PFA40000BK 10" Type 12 Exhaust Filter for Filterfans, Black

The PFA40000BK is a 10" NEMA Type 12 exhaust filter in black (RAL 9011), listed in the PF GEN4 series ordering table as the matching exhaust filter for PF 42500 and PF 43000 filterfans. Used together with one of those fans, it provides a filtered Type 12 exhaust opening in the enclosure wall. Panel builders and maintenance teams use it to complete a Type 12 ventilation path on control and electrical enclosures.

The housing and guard are sprayed thermoplastic, self-extinguishing and UL 94 V0, made from heat resistant ABS-FR. It carries a NEMA Type 12 Filtermat of filter grade G 4 (DIN EN 779) with a filtration efficiency of 0.91. Outside dimensions are 252 x 252 x 38 mm (height x width x installation depth) and it weighs 0.46 kg.

In combination with a PF 43000 filterfan the pair moves 142 CFM with a capacity of 69 W/K; with a PF 42500 fan the combination airflow is 67 CFM and capacity 38 W/K. The series ordering table lists it as the black exhaust filter for PF42500T12BK24 (24V DC, 5W), PF43000T12BK (115V AC, 40W), PF43000T12BK230 (230V AC, 39W) and PF43000T12BK24 (24V DC, 12W), and as the black alternative for the light gray PF42500T12LG230 (230V AC, 18W).

Installation uses the patented “Click & Fit” hardware-free design in a 223 mm (+1/-0) cutout for material up to 2 mm thick, or 224 mm for material over 2 mm and under 3 mm; fitting position is any. The system provides NEMA Type 12, IP 55 (EN 60 529) protection when installed as specified, and the PFA40000BK is REACH and RoHS compliant.
