Hammond PCJ664H 6x6x4 in Type 4X Polycarbonate Box, Solid Cover, Feet

The PCJ664H is a 6 x 6 x 4 in Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid, hinged screw cover and polycarbonate mounting feet. Body and cover are injected polycarbonate in a light gray finish, giving a non-metallic housing designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Typical duty includes industrial pump controls, waste water and irrigation control, plus solar/wind and chemical plant installations.

At 5.93 in (151 mm) high, 6.16 in (156 mm) wide and 3.98 in (101 mm) deep, this 6 x 6 x 4 in nominal size keeps a small footprint on the wall. Inside, threaded brass inserts accept the optional PCJR0505 inner panel, a 4.81 in x 4.81 in (122 mm x 122 mm) plate offered on the drawing in 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum or 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel. A closed cell neoprene gasket seals the cover, which swings on a stainless steel hinge pin and closes with two stainless steel captive cover screws into #10-32 brass inserts.

Mounting is by four polycarbonate feet fixed with stainless steel flange and feet screws into #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing shows four .31 in (7.95 mm) mounting holes at 6.75 in (171.44 mm) by 4.91 in (124.65 mm) centers and an overall height of 7.47 in, and mounting hardware is included.

Across the PCJ series the enclosure is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed as Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA Types, and is rated IP66 per IEC 60529, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. It operates from -35°C to 130°C (-31°F to 266°F), has a 16 J (12 ft/lb) impact index, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
